1. Who we are
Scholar Vault Africa Ltd. ("we", "us") is registered in the United Republic of Tanzania. We are the data controller for personal data processed through scholarvaultafrica.com.
2. Data we collect
- Identity: name, institution, country, photo (optional).
- Contact: email, phone (where you provide it).
- Academic: enrolled courses, quiz scores, certificates.
- Technical: device, browser, IP, session telemetry — for security only.
3. How we use it
To deliver the educational service, issue certificates, prevent fraud and comply with applicable law. We do not sell your data and we do not profile you for political advertising.
4. Your rights under PDPA 2022
- Right of access — request a copy of your data.
- Right of rectification — correct inaccurate data.
- Right to be forgotten — request permanent deletion from Settings → Security.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — to processing for direct marketing.
5. Sharing & transfers
We share data only with vetted processors (cloud hosting, payment rails) under written DPA agreements. Cross-border transfers occur only to jurisdictions with adequate safeguards.
6. Security
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS 1.3. Documents use per-user dynamic watermarking and DRM protections. Administrative access is logged.
